Apple Could be Profiting up to RM1690 for the iPad

It seems like in spite of all the name calling of the Apple iPad that we all love and hate, almost everyone was surprised by how affordable it actually is with a starting price of $499, well, you’re be more surprised to find out that it is estimated to cost only $229 to make. The most expensive iPad on the other hand, is estimated to cost about $346.15 and will retail for $829. According to iSuppli’s estimation, the most expensive part of the iPad is its touchscreen costing at about $80 followed by the flash storage for $29.5, battery for $17 and the A4 processor for $17 as well. It’s good to hear that Apple will be earning quite a margin from the iPad, this means that there will be a greater opportunity for them to lower the price as rumored.
