It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Android-based
tablet will eventually made
its way to the market, especially when prototypes such as this one
have started to make public appearances. But who would thought that the
first such tablet would not
be made by the usual established OEM names or Google
themselves, but instead, from a Jack
Sparrow counterfeit industrialist in China?
Powered by an 800MHz VIA CPU, this cheekily named “Mini iPad”
8-inch multi-touch device comes with couple of features that you might
expect from a tablet
such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi, e-book reader, some multimedia playback
and...that's about it. Nothing much to shout about, really.
Nevertheless, we are expecting this RM 482 (USD 150) Android 1.6
iPad-shaped device to pop up at local IT malls or retailers very soon.
