Reach Out To The Global Market With eBay and PayPal

If you think that reaching out to the global market is a costly thing that most local SMEs cannot afford, well, you were right. Thanks to the recent launch of the “Going Global Through Online Business With eBay and PayPal” campaign, penetrating the international market has never been easier! During the launch of the joint organization between eBay, PayPal and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry, YBDato’ Mukhriz bin Tun Mahatir was there to witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between these three companies.

The MoU will help educate selected local SMEs and provide them with the knowledge on how to effectively conduct market research, undertake sourcing and marketing of products and provide customer service for the merchant sector eBay, together with online payment specialist PayPal.

The lucky SMEs will be provided training on the following topics:

. Ways to prepare the necessary elements for their listing and on ways to list items
. Ways to engage with customers, complete a sale, collect payment and fulfill the shipment; and
. Ways to integrate the PayPal service onto their online business websites outside the eBay-branded websites in relation to cross-border trade.
