If you never heard of it, the CSM-ACE’10 is a large-scale information and communications technology security event – expected to be the largest in this country – that is consisted of the main conference itself, an industrial awards ceremony, an information security technologies exhibition and a set of twelve satellite events. The event is expected to receive more than 1,000 participants from local and abroad representing security firms, business sectors, government agencies, and academic world.
List of speakers that would be present at the event includes YAB Menteri Besar Perak, Dato’ Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir; Jim Simon, Chief Strategist of World Wide Public Sector at Microsoft; Professor Abu Bakar Munir, Professor of Law at University of Malaya; Professor Benoit Morel of Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University; Dr Kang Meng-Chow, Director and CISO of Asia Pacific, Greater China and Japan at Cisco Systems; and many more.
While the event might sound all technical and formal, part of the event will actually be opened for public such as the CyberSAFE Forum, Google Fu Workshop and International Business Continuity Management Conference. Not to forget, the CSM-ACE’10 exhibition will also be open for public on 27 and 28 October. Worry not; you don’t have to be highly tech savvy to check them out.
Expect to hear more from the event next week as Lowyat.NET is one of the official media partners for the inaugural edition of CSM-ACE. For the time being, head on to the event’s official website at www.csm-ace.my for further information.
