We never expected that the co-founder and CEO of Kaspersky Lab (http://www.kaspersky-sea.com), Eugene Kaspersky would have such a huge amount of fans in Malaysia. Throngs of fans waited eagerly at Plaza Low Yat for him - who was here as part of his latest regional tour - with banners, posters, t-shirt and of course, retail boxes of the company's products such as Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

After seeing such huge number of fans, we finally understand why he created the K-Klub for the fans of Kaspersky products. As said by the man himself during the club's recent official Malaysian launch:

"My vision is to combine all the Kaspersky Lab's Fan Club in the world into one big fan club. This will enable fans to communicate with each other not only within the country but all around the world. We learn a lot from our fans about their requirements. Anytime and anywhere, we hear and we are near our customers. We strive for the best products for our customers." - Eugene Kaspersky, Co-Founder and CEO of Kaspersky Lab

At the K-Klub Launch Event, Eugene's fans were not the only group that got showered by some Kaspersky Labs love. To show their commitment in protecting Plaza Low Yat from cyber threats, the security company donated Kaspersky Total Space Security to Plaza Low Yat management office. The IT mall's retailers were also not excluded from receiving some security goodness from the Moscow-based company, in the form of Total Space Security and Kaspersky Internet Security. All these products are worth more than RM 300,000 in total, quite a huge sum of money there.

Guess there was a lot of smiling faces on that day, fans, retailers and Plaza Low Yat management people themselves. Eugene himself is a very energetic guy and his energy was pretty contagious. Jump in to see more of the fanfare that went down during the event.
