ASUS launches sexy Designo Series LED monitors

In today's competitive day and age, it's no longer good enough for a LCD monitor to simply display ultra sharp images with highly accurate color gamuts. A good contrast ratio is essential, as is the native resolution, response time, and more recently, the amount of toxins used to make the screen.

ASUS have taken cue from this long list of requirements and have produced a splendid looking series of LED monitors under the Designo Series tag which meet today's stringent list of prerequisites. Measuring only 16.5mm thick and available in sizes from 20-inches to 26-inches, the Designo range displays 16.7 million colors at a maximum brightness of 250 cd/m², and a contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1. Full HD (1920x1080) and HDMI compatible (except the 20-inch model), the 2MS response time monitors are constructed with mercury-free LED back lit panels and consume up to 45% less energy than conventional four-lamp LED monitors.
