Look Out: NVIDIA Driver v196.75 Is On Killing Spree
Love to update your NVIDIA graphic cards driver every time a new version pops out? You better check the driver’s version again. If it’s a WHQL-certified v196.75, we would like to advice you to revert back to v196.21 before the new driver strangle your card to death.
Apparently there have been reports that the v196.75 driver cause severe malfunctions to graphic cards fan which resulted in graphic card overheating. Even Blizzard – who received the same reports from Warcraft 3, World of Warcraft and Starcraft 2 Beta players – has advised all customers to downgrade their driver.
NVIDIA has since plugged out the faulty driver from its website and has also launched an investigation to check out the problem. So again, better check your NVIDIA’s driver now, just to be sure.
