PostHeaderIcon Made For Mac: The New Western Digital My Passport Studio

The hard disk giant, Western Digital (http://www.westerndigital.com) has just launched yet another series of portables drives into the market, called My Passport Studio. However, there are not just common portables drives as there are specifically designed for Mac users and professionals out there.

Spotting a FireWire 800 port, we are sure anybody can appreciate the blazingly fast transfer speed the drives can provide. Not only that, the new My Passport Studio also comes with handy and customizable information display which would still be visible even though the drives are not plugged in, thanks to e-paper technology. For backup purposes, the drives can be used with either WD SmartWare (included) or Apple’s own Time Machine backup utility.

On top of all, the My Passport Studio drives are equipped with a 256-bit hardware-based encryption and password protection to safeguard the data against unauthorized access. The drives are also covered by a 3-year limited warranty for further peace of mind.

Available in three different flavours - 320GB, 500GB and 640GB, the WD My Passport Studio are priced at RM 499 (500GB) and RM 599 (640GB). We have no pricing information for the 320GB version, unfortunately. Find out more at its official website (http://bit.ly/a67mKj).
