WD My Passport AV: Portable HDD for Video Storage and Playback

After launching My Passport Studio for Mac and a number of new solid state drives earlier this month, Western Digital has released yet another new product called My Passport AV into the market.  That is the third new product for March 2010 alone. Is WD on fire or what?

Back to the story, the WD My Passport AV is a nifty portable hard disk that is designed to be used with audio video devices such as Blu-ray players, camcorders, and game consoles. It acts as an external secondary storage for them; example if you need to save your recordings from camcorders or, if you want to playback some multimedia contents through media players or game consoles.
The WD My Passport AV also requires no external power supply as it is powered through its USB 2.0 port that are capable to transfer data at the speed of up to 480 Mb/sec. It comes in 320 GB flavour and is priced at RM 299; available now at select retailers.
Do note that not all media devices are compatible with WD My Passport AV. So, point out your internet browser to WD’s official website (http://www.westerndigital.com/) for more information. More product shots are available after the break.
