If you can’t wait for the rumored Chrome OS netbooks that are said to be launched by Acer during the upcoming Taiwan Computex, then we’re sorry to have gotten your hopes up high, Acer has just confirmed that there will be no such product! According to Pocket-lint, Acer has been forced to issue a statement on whether they will be introducing the much talked about Chrome OS netbooks.

"Despite recent rumours in the press regarding the launch of Chrome OS based netbooks at Computex, Acer today confirms that it has no short-term plans for such a product", reads the statement sent to Pocket-lint.

Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to wait a little longer than 2 weeks, after all, the operating system is expected to be launched in the second half of 2010 anyway.
