PostHeaderIcon Google To Change The Way Nexus One is Sold - No More Web Store!

The poor Nexus One. After abysmal sales in the US from Googles web store - a tenth(ish) of the Motorola Droids and iPhone 3GS' totals after 74 days, as well as limited availability worldwide (yes, excluding Malaysia), Google have decided to change the way the phone is being sold to the public.

Gone will be the web store in favour of a more traditional retail model. Google has also said that they will make the Nexus One available to more countries. Personally, I think this could not have come any sooner. Not many people would be able to stomach the idea of paying a non-subsidised premium for a phone you can't physically play around with.

Well hopefully Malaysia will be on that list of countries Google decides to make the Nexus One available to, as I personally would love to see what this phone can do. But until then, theres always Lowyat Plaza and the [WTS] section of the forum.
