PostHeaderIcon HP Unveils New Notebook Range For Any Lifestyle

HP has always been very big on the whole approach of having technology that’s a right fit for your lifestyle, with the slogan that I’ve always liked: The Computer Is Personal Again. Last week, HP unveiled it’s new range of notebooks at a “My Life, My HP” road show at the Mid Valley North Court, which featured 3 different scenarios where the each of the 3 notebooks would be in their element.
Across the 3 new notebooks, there is something for everyone in terms of size, price, performance and aesthetics. For the fashionista, where size does matter and you always need to look at the top of your game, there is the HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition Notebook PC. If you need a well-rounded machine with modern styling and an equally modern specs list, there is the Compaq Presario CQ42 Notebook PC. Finally if you need a powerhouse portable, there is the Pavilion dv3 Entertainment Notebook PC.
Find more after the jump!

HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition

Following the success of the last Vivienne Tam Special Edition, the “Version 2” features all of the styling and form factor that you will recognize from the previous version as well as some new additions.
In this day and age, you can’t simply get by with a beautiful face. This is why even the OS that is included with the HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam edition (Windows 7 Basic for the curious) is also skinned to match the eye-catching exterior. Mind you, there are a whole slew of matching accessories like tote bags that bear design as well. HP has also considered its target market well with the inclusion of a “mirror” function, allowing the fashionista to powder her nose without leaving her laptop. I thought it was a strange feature at first that no one would use, but after remembering a friend of mine who uses her iPhone as a mirror, it seemed pretty plausible to me.
With a nice 10.1” wide display, 2Gb RAM. a HDD bigger than my Macbook Pro, and speakers powered by “Beats by Dr Dre”, this machine should be the must have fashion accessory for the Fashionista/Blogger/Social Media Starlet this year. The HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition is priced at RM1599 and is available in early May.
Compaq Presario CQ42 Notebook PC

Over at the “My Everything” section of the roadshow, the Compaq Presario CQ42 Notebook PC was on show probably meaning the laptop could do everything. Sporting either an Intel Core i3 or i5 processor and the blazing fast ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5430, it certainly is no slouch with full DX11 support.

Personally I see this laptop being just a very generic laptop that everyone can use and be very happy with, from the working executive to the college student. The CQ42 is available now and starts at RM1799 in either a matte black or appetizing Biscotti flavoured colour.
HP Pavilion dv3 Entertainment Notebook PC
I couldn’t help think that this laptop should have been featured in the “My Everything” section instead of the CQ42. The impressive specs sheet certainly makes sure this laptop can do just about anything and everything.
Powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and configurable with up to 8Gb RAM, the dv2 is certainly a power packed machine in a diminutive package. The dv2 also features DX11 graphics, switchable between Intel HD and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450, so yes it can run Crysis. Rounding off the features on this notebook with 640Gb of HD space and HDMI output, the dv3 could very well be the ultimate entertainment notebook.
The HP Pavilion dv3 Entertainment notebook starts at RM4099 and will be available in early May
