If you’re worried about health issues when playing 3D games on the
Nintendo 3DS, or you’re worried that it might affect your children’s
eyesight, then worry no more because according to Satoru Iwata,
President of Nintendo, the future glasses-free 3D console will allow you
to switch between 2D and 3D. Understanding the health risk such as
the ones mentioned by Samsung and that 3D gaming
might cause headache after playing for a long period of time, the
company promises that it will be easy to turn off the 3D function. I
know it kind of defeats the purpose of paying for a 3D device and then
switch off its functionality, but it’s always good to have a choice
isn’t it? This piece of information regarding the future console also
further strengthens the rumor that it will be using Sharp’s parallax
barrier technology, the world’s first 3D/2D switchable touchscreen
display that doesn’t require 3D glasses.
