PostHeaderIcon Apple's New iMac and Mac Mini Officially Announced

Speculation of a new Mac Mini model that has been rounding cyberspace for the past few months can finally come to an end now, as Apple Malaysia has just announced their new desktop line up which will feature not only a spanking new multiple USB port endowed Mac Mini, but also an upgraded iMac and a Nehalem powered Mac Pro.


The Mac Mini is available in two configurations (2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of DDR3 1066 MHz memory, up to 320GB Serial ATA hard drive, five USB 2.0 ports, FireWire 800 and a SuperDrive) and retails from RM2,299. The new iMac line starts with the 20-inch iMac at RM4,499 features a 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of 1066 MHz DDR3 memory, a 320GB Serial ATA hard drive and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics. There are three other preconfigured models to choose from and prices go up to RM8,199. However, if none of those configurations tickle your fancy, there are a lot of customizable options that have been made available.

Lastly, the hardcore Mac users who require unprecidented computing power will be able to get their grubby hands on the all new Mac Pro that starts at RM9,299. It features the latest Intel Xeon processors that run on Nehalem technology.
