ISS to Receive Fresh Nikon DSLRs and Lenses


Nikon and NASA have a long history together. Believe it or not, the Japanese imaging giant has provided imaging equipment to the space agency for almost 38 years. So, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why the agency chooses to order couple of new camera and lenses that are destined for International Space Station (ISS) from Nikon.
The latest order involves eleven Nikon D3S and seven AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED lenses which according to Nikon are exactly the same to those available for end-users. Guess what they are trying to say is that if these products are good enough to be used in space, they are surely good enough to be used on earth. Yeah, right...
