PostHeaderIcon Braille Displays: Bringing Internet to the Blind

It’s nice to finally see something to help the blind access modern world technology such as the internet. There’s now a team of researchers in the North Carolina State University that are looking into hydraulic and latching mechanism for a refreshable Braille displays that can raise dots for the blind to “read” easily. It also features a latching mechanism to track where the person is reading to so that it can scroll down accordingly. If only they can start mass manufacturing all these things (Braille EBook, Braille Phones and such) just so prices can actually come down to something the visually impaired people could afford.
