ASUS Exhibits Flair for Style at Milan’s International Design Week 2010
Milan, Italy, April 7, 2010 – ASUS, a company known for innovation and passion for design, are showcasing their latest achievements at Milan’s International Design Week April 14–19, 2010. With a range of products exemplifying their brand spirit, perfectionism and inspirational attitude, ASUS is sure to make an impression.
ASUS’ design philosophy is simple but logical. Technology must be powerful and effective but it must also be stylish and moving. ASUS is passionate about bringing form and function together in perfect balance, creating beautiful products that convey pleasure to both the technophile and the fashionista. Additionally, their green ethos means that ASUS products are always environmentally-focused and, in cases such as the U Series Bamboo Collection, made with real natural ingredients.
With a 100-strong team of world class designers, ASUS is committed to meeting the needs of consumers and creating an unrivalled user experience that transcends the norm.
At the cutting edge of innovative design, ASUS is highlighting three new products during Milan’s International Design Week:
The world famous netbook series has undergone a fashion makeover thanks to renowned industrial designer Karim Rashid. The digi-wave tactile finish and Coffee Brown and Hot Pink colors transform these technological tools into fashion statements.
“These designs offer a form and feel that is interesting, original and very textured and rich,” said Karim Rashid when talking of his time spent creating the Eee PC™ collection with ASUS.
This new and exclusive notebook, crafted together with audio designer David Lewis, is a beautiful, awe-inspiring centerpiece with superb audio performance and sublime design features.
“I envision it appealing to people who take pride in what their house interiors look like,” said David Lewis, talking about the NX90, “It’s for people who are unafraid to stand out from the crowd.”
A triumph of innovation, these notebooks are constructed from lightly treated bamboo. Each one reacts to its user over time, making it uniquely theirs. They are all about natural design and raw power.
“ASUS recognizes the need for caution in using substances and materials that could have an adverse impact on the environment,” said Jonney Shih, ASUS chairman, “ASUS reviews all available information to ensure the replacement ingredient is environmentally-sound, and we’ve spent the past two years working with an IT platform for green material selection and verification.”
ASUS’ passion for all-encompassing design and style are also evident in their stunning new Eee range and the impressive EeeTop PC touch. Their slender screens, chic design and tantalizing features embody the very essence of ASUS’ belief in creating a harmony of style and functionality.
ASUS is exhibiting at the Contemporary Showroom – Largo la Foppa, LAGO’s booths at Eurocucine and Salone Internazionale, and at LAGO’s flat, 30 via Brera.
