There’s no denying that digital photography is getting more and more interesting, today, Samsung Electronics just launched several digital imaging devices including the most interesting mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, the NX10. Bragging the ability to deliver the quality and features of a DSLR while having a small body for portability, the NX10 is complemented by a total of 8 lenses that are specifically designed to ensure that users get the most out of their photography experience – including the Compact Zoom Lens, Wide Lens, Pancake Lens, Tele Zoom Lens, Macro Lens and two types of Standard Zoom Lenses.

Retailing for RM2,799 (with a 18-55IS standard kit lens) and RM3,099 (with 30mm pancake lens), the NX10 received the 2010 Innovative Digital Product Award from the Digital Imaging Marketing Association (DIMA), given at the annual PMA (Photo Marketing Association) show in Anaheim, California to products which utilize new technologies and/or applications that make the product either distinct or the first of its kind. PL151/PL101
Get more dual display fun from Samsung as they add another two 2View cameras to their line-up, the PL151 and PL101. Like their predecessors that made their debut last year, the cameras features a 1.5” LCD at the front of the camera can allow users to “camwhore” easily, and with a similar Child Mode, the small display can even play short video clips to attract the attention of a toddler so they will look at the camera to allow users to capture a perfect picture. Both the cameras also feature a Couple Shot function that can automatically take a picture of a couple when they tilt their heads towards each other.
The 12.4MP PL151 comes with the ability to record 720p HP video at 20 fps and comes with an optional HDMI adaptor.

It is available now for RM899 while the 12.2MP PL101 is available for RM749.

WB660/610
The world's first ultra wide 24mm Schneider lens with 15x optical zoom, the versatile WB660/610 is a high-speed, 12 megapixel compact camera which also features 720P@30fps H.264 full-HD video recording. With its Full Manual Control feature, the WB660/610 capture moments that might otherwise miss out on in auto mode. Additionally, WB660 comes with GPS Geo-tagging with visual map view for a map reference where a photo was taken.
The WB660 is also equipped with a three-inch AMOLED screen, providing users with a higher contrast ratio, deeper blacks and more accurate, vivid colors, even when viewed from an angle or in direct sunlight.

WB660 is now available for sale at a recommended retail price of RM1,399 while the WB610 is sold at RM1,199.

ST5500 / ST5000

A pair of stylish, 14.2 mega-pixel digital cameras, the ST5500 and ST5000 are fully loaded with an array of impressive features to meet the needs of consumers looking for a great all-in-one camera. The models are the first consumer electronic products ever to be manufactured using hydro-forming technology, which produces smoother silhouettes, seamless bonding, and higher quality surfaces.

Both cameras feature Samsung’s Smart Auto 2.0 scene recognition technology which automatically recognizes the user’s current shooting environment and selects the most appropriate settings. They also house Samsung’s Smart Gesture touch screen user interface, which enables users to access key features with either a simple tilt or a hand gesture. Smart Gesture also offers useful auto-focusing options such as object tracking and one-touch auto focusing. The ST5500, a 2010 CES Innovation Award, also incorporates wireless connectivity options including Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi and DLNA to allow users to share their video and photos on the go.

The ST5500 and ST5000 is now available at RM1,499 and RM1,299 respectively.

HMX-U20 Ultra-Compact Camcorder
The U20 is a pocket camcorder that boasts full HD video recording and easy connectivity. It captures 7.8 megapixel video and 10 megapixel photos, and unlike other models in its category, has 3x optical zoom for getting close to the action. Content sharing is easy with the U20’s one-touch sharing to YouTube. A built-in USB jack and HDMI output further gives users a world of connectivity options. The model is now available at a recommended retail price of RM899.
