PostHeaderIcon Truckload of Future Dell Smartphones Leak into the Net

Hot on the heels of iPhone v4.0 prototype leakage, here comes another set of future mobile devices that are pre-emptively revealed to the wild world of Internet.  Not one or two, but four new models altogether!

Made possible by Engadget, the leaks consisted of three new Android-based models and one Windows Phone 7 model from Dell. It seems that their upcoming devices are named after weather conditions with names such as Flash, Thunder, Smoke and Lightning. These devices are scheduled to be released sometime in between end of 2010 and 2011.

We most probably not going to see them in Malaysia (through official channel, if you know what we mean) but since they are pretty good looking, we thought that you might want to take a look at them as well. Jump right in to see the goodies.

Dell Flash
Comes with a unique curved glass design, Dell are relying on Flash’s on-device image editing/sharing and multiple connectivity options to topple its competitors. Flash is the only device among the leaked models that will be available for markets outside United States.
Tentative release: 1st quarter of 2011.
Dell Smoke
Featuring a QWERTY keyboard with a price tag that Dell promise would not break the bank, the Smoke looks like it is heading straight ahead towards BlackBerry’s market. Apart from that, Dell also claims that the device’s Stage UI is built for fast and easy navigation. Will it become a worthy opponent against the popular device from Research in Motion? We shall see next year then.
Tentative release: 2nd quarter of 2011
Dell Thunder
Thunder contains a lot of features that comes from previous two Android devices such as curved glass design, on-device image editing/sharing and Stage UI. On top of all that, it also equipped with 8 megapixel camera, a huge 4.1-inch display, full Flash 10 support and integration with social media sites; making it the most fully loaded device among three leaked Android smartphones from Dell.  Too bad that its specification was not included in the leak.
Tentative release: End of 2011
Dell Lightning
Scheduled to be released sometime in Q4 of 2010, the Lightning has positioned itself as of one of the Windows Phone 7 release device candidate. Its distinctive portrait slider design should able to stand tall among other sliders who are usually slides from the side. Did we mention that it also comes with full Flash, Flash Video and Silverlight support?
Tentative release: 4th quarter of 2010
