PostHeaderIcon First WordCamp in Malaysia Sets to Happen This Month


If you are a blogger or have at least tried to blog before, the WordPress (WP) name should not be foreign to you. One of the most popular blog publishing software around, it has attracted so many users from all over the world; from first timers up to the likes of real world publication giants such as New York Times and ZDNet. Even we ourselves used it for our sister blogs, Multiplay and Shrine.
With such huge amount of users, it is natural that at certain point of time, these users would like to made contact and mingle around with each other. This is where WordCamp comes into the picture and for the first time ever, a WordCamp will be held here in Malaysia this coming 22nd May 2010 at Cititel Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur.

The WordCamp Malaysia 2010 is a collaborative of four different outfit, namely Interunix, Grok, WP Design Studio and Kreative Themes. The one day conference will cover a number of topics that are catered for all level of WP users such as blog monetization, search engine optimization, theme and plugins development, and many more. To add to the excitement, the event has received official support from the company behind WP – Automattic, and one of their engineers, Naoko McCracken will be attending WordCamp Malaysia all the way from United States.
