Kaspersky PURE, Not Just Another Internet Security Suite

In the world of Anti-virus solutions, relative
minnows Kaspersky have been steadily gathering pace. With their famous
ass-kicking star spokesperson by their side, no virus out there is safe
from the Kaspersky and Segway-riding Jackie Chan combo. In this day and
age, internet security is about more than just antivirus software and
not downloading suspicious attachments, it’s also about avoiding
“Digital Pollution”.
In a “talk show” and
product launch held at the Royale Chulan Hotel yesterday, Kaspersky
spared no expense to drill into our heads the dangers of the Internet.
Lets just say, with all that I was told could happen on the net, I am
hesitant to ever launch my browser again.

after the jump

All jokes aside, the threat of cyber-bullying,
"naughty sites" and identity fraud are out there. The age at which kids
these days are being exposed to the Internet is gradually becoming
younger. The Internet is a dangerous place not just for minors, but also
for technologically un-savvy adults as well.

Enter
Kaspersky Pure, Kaspersky Labs’ integrated solution to protect your
family from the big bad Internet. Covering a broad spectrum of uses,
such as Parental Control centre for knowing exactly who your kids are
talking to, to a password manager for those hard to remember
alpha-numeric-symbol ridden passwords. Also included is the usual slew
of Antivirus and Internet Security suites, making Kaspersky Pure a true
one-size-fits-all solution for any household.
Kaspersky
Pure also comes with a privilege card, for those who don’t have enough
to fit into your wallets already. This entitles the bearer to express
support services through a dedicated phone number, rebates on purchases
in Low Yat Plaza and invitations to exclusive events. The only benefit
missing from this would be the lack of a Jackie Chan feature, or perhaps
that’s what the express support service is, straight down your
dedicated line, kicking the intruder to your network in the face.

All in all,
Kaspersky Pure is not a bad product in theory, if we got to see more of a
in-depth demo of the product features, rather than videos of how many
ways we can be screwed over on the internet, I’d have more to talk
about. If I didn’t own a Mac (No Mac support) and had a family of
internet-addicted miscreants, I would seriously consider this important
piece of software.
Kaspersky Pure is available
today from RM260 for single users and RM330 for three users. For more
