PostHeaderIcon Skyfire provides Full Flash 10 and Silverlight support

Although the hype for Windows Mobile Smartphone is dying, that doesn’t mean that developers are ignoring those who are loyal to the operating system. Skyfire just released their best browser yet, the Skyfire 1.5, bringing full Ajax, full Flash 10 and Silverlight support to Windows Mobile devices. Currently, the default IE browser in Windows Mobile only supports Adobe Flash Lite 3.1 and does not provide support Silverlight at all. This means that you can watch virtually any videos on the internet from any webpages, not just the popular ones like YouTube.

The new browser is designed to support VGA and WVGA displays of higher-resolution, delivering crisp clear text and stunning images. The performance has been tweaked to deliver a fast and smooth web browsing experience. Best of all, the Skyfire 1.5 browser is completely free. The browser will be available for Symbian S60 3rd and 5th Edition headsets in the future, but a quick peek on the website with my Nokia shows that Skyfire v1.5 will be coming in January; definitely something to look forward to.
