PostHeaderIcon Microsoft Consciously Left Out Copy & Paste Feature in Windows Phone 7

I don’t know where Microsoft goes to do their research, but according to Todd Brix from Microsoft, the copy-paste feature has been consciously been left out because according to their research, most people do not use or even need that feature at all. Instead, Microsoft introduced a “smart linking” process that is able to detect things such as clickable web address, phone numbers, email address, etc. so that they can be used on other applications. However, despite how confident Todd Brix sounded during the interview with Engadget when he said that most people do not, or hardly ever, copy a chunk of text (in an Office application at least), sources from istartedsomething.com stated that the copy & paste feature is definitely something the team is putting a lot of thoughts into and hopes to bring it to the platform very soon. Is the copy & paste a must-have feature for your smartphone or do you agree with Microsoft’s research?
