PostHeaderIcon Cyber Criminals Riding On iPad Popularity

In yet another Apple iPad news, cyber crooks has started to take advantages of the device popularity on the Internet by tricking users into opening websites that are planted with malicious software. Documented by the good folks at Symantec, this is done by putting popular iPad related keywords in the site so that these site would appear in search engine results for users to click on.

Well, since we are expecting that the iPad-Fever is going to take months to settle down, users all over the globe are going to be exposed to these fraudulent sites. Obviously, there is no better way to fight them other that observing self-protection whenever you use your computer online or offline. Stay sharp, keep alert, and always use reputable and legit security software such as those from Symantec themselves.

Remember, if some online offer (such as free iPad) looks too good to be true, it most probably is. Not saying all the time though...so again, stay sharp.
