Google working on a touch tablet device?

If you’re excited about the upcoming tablet device from Apple, how do you feel about a tablet device from, well, who else but Google? It has been rumored that Google has been working closely with its hardware provider for the past 18 months on “several working models of a touch tablet”. That’s right, while we were all spreading and sharing news about the Google Nexus One, Google has been sneakily working on its own tablet (if all rumors are true). Said to be running on the new Google Chrome OS, will this device bring threats to the upcoming Apple tablet even before the news is official, or do we have to actually wait until the Chrome OS is out?
