PostHeaderIcon We Can’t Return the Stolen iPhone Says Apple

What would you do if your phone’s manufacturer is in possession of your stolen phone and while they knew that it is yours, they refuse to return it to you? That is exactly what happened to an unlucky girl in New York who lost her iPhone during a robbery few weeks ago.

Not long after the robbery, she received an alert that somebody has requested a warranty claim procedure for her stolen iPhone. After going through the police, iPhone exclusive provider, AT&T; and also, Apple representatives themselves, she was told that Apple will honor the warranty for the phone but it will not be sent to her even it was clear that she is the rightful owner. Pretty weird, right?

The story above is just a simplified version of the actual case. This is a very rare case indeed because in general, once your phone is gone, it’s considered gone for good. What would the outcome be if it happened in Malaysia? If you have experienced such case before - with any given phone - we would love to hear from you, so do post it up on this posts’ comments section.

Meanwhile, do you think the iPhone will be returned to its rightful owner? We are quite doubtful but nevertheless, we wish all the best to her.
