If there’s one thing I dislike about in-ear earphones is how they cannot be used for long period of time, because it hurts! However, on the bright side, such earphones comes in really handy especially when you’re at a noisy place, or just do not want to get distracted by your background noise.

The Timbre earphone that we have today comes with three different size ear buds so if you’re like me who can’t seem to get the standard ones to fit in properly, it’s nice to have a choice; also good when you HAVE to share your earphone and you can just let others use the spare ones. For those who are obsessed with hygiene, the little packaging for the Timbre earphone comes with two sets of extra ear buds so you’ll always have something to use when you think it’s time to clean the other one.

The first thing that impresses me the most is with the Timbre earphone deep in my ear, it is able to practically block out all background noise even though the volume of my music wasn’t very loud. The wooden enclosure did bring out the best of music however, while it delivered a very deep bass, the clarity was slightly muffled.

If you want a proper fit to the Timbre earphone, you’re going to have to pick the proper one otherwise it’ll be slipping out of your ear half the time. This can be pretty annoying especially for people like me who’ve gotten so used to standard earphones. Once the ear bud gets loose on the part where it holds onto the earphone, it won’t fit properly anymore especially in your ears so a second set of earbuds do come in handy.

Being on the go with a pair of earphone that can block out ambient noise can be a bliss, especially if you’re walking down the noisy streets of KL. But you have to be careful; nobody will be liable if you’re being completely oblivious to your surroundings and risk getting run down by a car. A pretty neat pair of earphones that is not too stylish enough for my taste, but acoustic lovers will really appreciate the wooden chamber.
