PostHeaderIcon Intel Is Beefing Up Their IGP to Run Mainstream Games

In our last graphic card review, we wrote that integrated graphic processors (IGP) were basically incompetent as far as 3D games were concerned. Well, Intel is about to give us a run for our money if the details in this leaked slide proves to be true.

In the slide, their next-generation IGP - the Intel HD Graphics - is said to be able to provide “a great PC gaming experience” for casual and mainstream games. While the casual game are mostly consisted of Flash games that provides no challenge even for InteI’s current IGPs, we are intrigue by the list of mainstream games in the slide such as FIFA 2010, NBA 2K10 and World of Warcraft.

Majority of these games are in fact high quality 3D games, something that current Intel IGPs are not really fond of. We do hope that the new Intel HD Graphics IGPs will be able to pull this off, in order to finally gives us a reason to actually like IGPs.
