PostHeaderIcon You Blow Your Eardrums, You Pay For It

If you’re one of those who enjoy listening to your iPod so loud, it literally blows out your ears, it’s your fault, not Apple’s. Not too long ago, a man in Louisiana alleged that the iPod comes with stock ear buds that could be more damaging because it is designed to be placed deep into the ear canal. He also claimed that the iPod does not have any noise isolating or cancelling properties and that it lacks any volume meter. The judge then wrote that "(1) the iPod is capable of playing 115 decibels of sound; (2) consumers may listen at unsafe levels; and (3) iPod batteries can last 12 to 14 hours and are rechargeable, giving users the opportunity to listen for long periods of time”, which loosely translated to: the law is not responsible for your idiocy. Here's a tip, especially for the man who alleged against Apple, the next time you're cranking up the volume on your iPod and your ear starts to hurt, STOP!
