PostHeaderIcon iPad Name Is Ours Too Says Fujitsu

It is just like 2007 all over again.

Barely a week after the iPad was announced with huge hyper all over it, Apple has just attracted a probable lawsuit from Fujitsu. The Japanese company claimed that the iPad name was already used by them since 2002 for a handheld point-of-sales device.

“Mobile is a keyword for Fujitsu’s iPad, too. With the iPad, workers don’t have to keep running back to a computer. They have everything right at their fingertips.” - Masahiro Yamane, director of Fujitsu’s public relations division

So, if Apple managed to peacefully solve their iPhone issues with Cisco three years ago, how about this one? While the circumstance behind the iPad name is a little bit more than just a mere identical identities, we predict that it will not going to have much effect on Apple or their new tablet.
