Good news for local university students! The special broadband netbook package that was announced during the Budget 2010 presentation is already available from TM (http://www.tm.com.my), in the form of Streamyx Cool Uni package!

While the details of the package has been available on Streamyx official website since earlier this month (thanks JH for pointing it out), the actual launch only took place this morning at Digital Pekan 1Malaysia event in Pahang. The package features a 384kbps Streamyx account, a Streamyx Zone access and a HP netbook, in which successful applicants will only have to pay just RM 50 monthly for two years duration in order to utilize them.

However, given the unique nature of the package, it cannot be registered as freely as any other normal Streamyx package, as students need endorsements from their respective universities or colleges first. So, do check out all the terms and conditions of the Streamyx Cool Uni package at their official website (http://bit.ly/b3dauJ) before you rush out to the nearest TM Point.
