Not because I’ve developed a fetish for disgusting things I assure you, but because the mosquito was killed by a laser gun called the “Death Star” designed by Nathan Myhrvold. The idea of the Death Star is to control the population of mosquitoes developing, so it can control the spread of diseases carried by these pests. I think it’s awesome, maybe they can replace all the old-school mosquito zapping machines you can still find in the more rural parts of the country!
