Forum Nokia’s Calling All Innovators contest is back! If you are a budding mobile and web developer looking for a platform to conquer the world spread your wings, this contest looks like one of the best ways to achieve that.

If you never heard of it before, the contest is basically a global competition which is in the look for fresh applications and services that would enhanced the use of mobile devices in real-world scenario. Currently in its third year, the 2010 contest is divided into several categories:

- Eco/Being Green: Like its name implies, this category challenges developers to help save the planet with innovative, eco-friendly applications for use on Nokia devices.

- Entertainment: Here’s your chance to submit apps that rock, and show off the coolest multimedia features that are available on the latest Nokia mobile devices. This includes music, multimedia and games.

- Productivity: This category seeks mobile applications that make consumer’s daily lives easier and help them to be more efficient, such as utilities, business, or personal finance applications.

- Life Improvement: This category seeks applications that positively affect the daily lives of people living in developing countries, and may include education, agriculture, health and more.

There are around RM 680,000 (USD 200,000) worth of cash prizes that waiting for winners of all four categories above, together with numerous development tools and marketing assistance for the winning apps. Not to forget, all the winning apps will also be considered by Nokia to be preloaded into future devices.

Imagine your apps and name in millions of Nokia devices throughout the world. How cool is that? That’s not all; Nokia has even allocated further amount of RM 560,700 (USD 165,000) specially for a number of special awards that can be won by any submitted application, whether they are finalist of the contest or not.
