You know something is brewing up at Apple when they took down their online store throughout the world on a normal working day. When the site went up again few hours after the downtime, there they are – a new set of hardware for all MacBook Pro family members!

Let’s start with the processors. No update for the 13-inch models but its larger brothers - the 15-inch and 17-inch models - are now equipped with either Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors, with clock speed that ranged from 2.4 GHz to 2.66GHz. On the graphical ends, both 15-inch and 17-inch received the Optimus-enabled (referred as “automatic graphics switching” by Apple) NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M - in either 256MB or 512 MB memory configurations - as their new GPU. The 13-inch models received new GPU upgrade as well but with the slower and integrated NVIDIA GeForce 320M.
