It seems like the approval for Opera browser on the iPhone was not only a big deal for consumers as they get a new browsing experience, it also opens up opportunities for other mobile browsers to the Apple platform. The CEO of Skyfire recently posted up his congratulations to the Opera Team on the Skyfire blog, saying that he believe that this decision from Apple will “set a solid precedent for additional innovation in mobile browsing from other companies”. Although it seems unlikely for Apple to approve this mobile browser that enables Flash and Silverlight, the Skyfire team sounds confident, indicating that “this will certainly accelerate our strategy on iDevices”.
