Making Sweet Music With DJ Daito & Nike Free Run+

Artist, VJ and experimental DJ Daito Manabe, famous for crazy setups, including
using a Wiimote to drop beats, has kicked it up a notch,
literally. As part of the new Japanese Nike Free Run campaign, DJ Daito
and friends have outfitted these sneakers with flex sensors, which allow
for variable resistance when bent and hence producing some crazy beats
and effects. Using Max/MSP and Ableton Max for Live, DJ Daito & co
are able to produce an amazing sequence of music, the envy of
turntablists everywhere. Personally, I’m waiting for some
local DJs to do this with some BM-2000s!
Check it out for yourself after the jump!
