Out of cash while dining at your favorite Ramly Burger joint? Don’t worry; just swipe your cash or credit card on the seller’s mobile devices to pay for them burgers. It is not just another of our wishful thinking - with Square, that scenario is totally possible. Announced back in December last year, Square is now ready to meet the masses.

Just to refresh your mind, the system basically converts any Android-based devices, iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad into a payment gateway through its free apps and free card reader that is delivered right to your door. It is also ridiculously easy to get on board - just sign up at their website, install the client into your device, plug in the card reader after your received it and off you go.

Of course, merchants will have to pay some surcharges for each transactions but with relatively free setup cost and painless application process, Square enables pretty much anybody with a compatible mobile device to own a credit card terminal. Too bad that it is only available in US for the time being and with all the red tapes that our financial law might possess, we doubt that Square is going to be in our country so soon.
